Apparence : Elle se présente sous une robe orange brûlé, légèrement ambrée et bien voilée. Sa mousse d’un blanc teinté d’ivoire est dense et crémeuse.

Au Nez : C’est tropicale, juteux et sucré avec d’alléchantes notes de nectar d’abricot, de mangue mûrie à point, d’orange, de papaye, nectarine, goyave et fruit de la passion. Le tout est enveloppé d’une présence pugnace évoquant la marijuana résineuse et la foret de conifères. Un malt pale dodu, se pointe le bout du nez avec ses notes de miche de pain un peu sucré.

En Bouche : On retrouve la même exubérance juteuse et tropicale avec des notes d’orange pulpeuse, de mangue dégoulinante et de fruit de la passion, combinée avec un caractère forestier frais et résineux. Son amertume prononcée s’éternise en finale avec des notes de pin et d’herbes fraîches et de pelure de pamplemousse. Le tout est bien équilibré grâce à une colonne maltée pâle, recouverte d’un léger givrage sucré.

En Résumé : Une belle grosse bombe juteuse qui camoufle étonnamment bien son 8%. Les fruits tropicaux dominent et les notes d’agrumes viennent appuyer en finale une amertume qui demeure équilibrée dans son intensité. Une Double IPA qui fait tourner les têtes, se classant parmi les meilleurs de sa catégorie.

Appearance : A hazy, light amber or burnt orange body, topped by a dense and creamy slightly off white head.

Nose : Sweet and juicy tropical notes of apricot nectar, ripe mango, pineapple, papaya, nectarine, guava and passion fruit. All of this is wrapped into a dank, marijuana-like blanket of piney goodness. Furthermore, you get peach and sweet orange peel, along with some fresh doughy bready malt coming through the dominant hop character.

Taste : On the palate, you get the same juicy intensity with bold flavors of sweet orange peel, sun-ripened mango and juicy passionfruit. The hops also adds a dank, herbaceous, pronounced to intense lingering bite with notes of woodsy pine and fresh cut grass. The finish is slightly sweet, typical of a Double IPA, with moderate notes of citrus pith and grapefruit, but the overall profile is mostly very fleshy and tropical.

Overall : A big sweet and juicy hop bomb that hides its alcohol level very well, but the high ABV makes you slow your role at some point. It’s very fruity up front and citrus in the back end. A true show-stopper of a Double IPA that ranks amongst the very best hoppy beers available on the market.
